Public API

Programmatic access is in scope. The public contract and the operations available to external developers remain undecided.

Clone is in development. Nothing customer-facing is generally available yet.

A deliberate public contract

The intended API will give developers programmatic access to selected Clone capabilities and management operations. Which operations are exposed has not been decided. There is no supported public API to integrate with yet.

What remains open

  • The external operations and resources developers can access.
  • Authentication and resource scope.
  • Event delivery and limits.
  • Supported examples and developer setup instructions once the public contract is defined.

The same policy boundary

The product direction keeps authorization and execution in shared backend services so a different client cannot bypass company policy. The public API need not expose every operation used by first-party apps or the computer’s display and input path.
